Frequently asked questions

Do you provide models for fashion shoots?

I can recommend agency models I work with regularly, and point you to online model platforms if you’re on a tighter budget. You contact the model yourself and agree their fee with them directly.

Can you shoot fashion on location in London?

Yes. I bring the lights to you, at the same hourly rate as the studio, plus travel.

How much does a fashion shoot cost?

£95 an hour, with Studio A and every image included. Retouching is also £95 an hour.

When will I get the photos?

Every unretouched image the same day by WeTransfer. Retouched images follow within three working days.

More about

Fashion & Lookbook Photography

Fashion photography for online shops and lookbooks

A fashion shoot with me means your clothing worn by a model, photographed for product pages, a lookbook or a new drop. Most brands need two kinds of picture from one day: tidy, repeatable shots for the shop, and looser frames with movement for the lookbook and social.

Tell me where each image will be used before we start. Shop pictures need the same crop, pose and background from the first outfit to the last, so a customer scrolling a category sees the clothes change and nothing else. Lookbook frames can break that pattern, so it often works best to finish the shop set first and then play.

Studio backgrounds for full-length fashion shots

Studio A in Kentish Town has a motorised system with ten background colours, so a range can go on white, grey or something closer to your brand without moving the set. For full-length shots the paper under the model’s feet has to be clean, and a clothing brand usually needs about two metres of fresh paper for that, so mention it when you book.

The space is about 700 sq ft, with a ceiling rail system for the lights and polyboards to shape them. That leaves room for a model to walk, turn and move a coat or a skirt rather than hold one spot.

Finding a model and a make-up artist

If you don’t have a model yet, ask me. I’ll send you names, and you book them yourself.

There’s no in-house make-up artist, but I know good ones. Hair and make-up usually takes around an hour and runs inside your booked time, so plan the session with that hour in it. The studio has two lit make-up mirrors.

Getting clothes ready for a fashion shoot

Steam everything at home. Studio time is charged by the hour, so pressing beforehand is cheaper, and there’s a small handheld steamer here for creases picked up on the journey. Bring each look together, with its shoes, belt and jewellery, so changes are quick.

Short vertical clips for Instagram can be shot in the same session, so a model turning in the new jacket can go up alongside the stills.
